Here at Trenton Elementary, we had a great time celebrating Dads Take Your Child to School Day on Wednesday! This event allowed fathers, grandfathers, brothers, uncles, or anyone who plays that male role in a child's life to come out and spend some time with that child at school. We had lots of participation, and even had community support for students without a father figure in attendance. Sheriff Bobby Schultz and a group of his officers from the Gilchrist County Sheriff's Office attended in order to be there for students without a dad participating. Snacks, smiles, and silly conversations were a great way to get dads involved, because research shows that kids with involved dads do better in school! At TES, we love and appreciate our dads and the role they play in the lives of our students. Thank you all for coming!
