November is Family Engagement Month! The purpose is to highlight the roles parents have in their child’s education. Parents, grandparents, guardians, and extended families are encouraged to be involved in their children’s education throughout the year. Throughout this month, we will be intermittently sharing information on
how you, as the parent, can be engaged in your child's education. There are many ways! You don't have to be a classroom volunteer to be "involved" in your child's education. You can check your child's grades in Skyward, ask about any missing assignments, email your child's teacher, ensure that your child has the appropriate supplies to be prepared to learn, and even just read with your child at home. You encouraging your child to do his or her best is one way that you can really be a partner in ensuring academic success! If you would like to be more involved, but are not sure how, talk to your child's teacher this month!
