The Trenton Guidance Department is here to assist students academically, socially and personally. One goal of ours is to ensure that students have the opportunity to meet all of the requirements necessary for graduation. Part of this includes keeping track of the number of credits each student has earned. The guidance department works closely with the data processors to ensure that all records are accurately maintained in the computer system. The Guidance Department is also involved in helping students with personal or social issues that may affect their performance in the classroom.

In addition to supporting the students, the Guidance Department is responsible for the majority of testing done at the school. This includes coordinating tests, selecting students for the tests, keeping test materials in a secure place, and sometimes administering the tests.
